Employer Profile
Western Power is a WA State Government owned corporation that builds, maintains and operates the electricity network in the south west of Western Australia. Our vast transmission and distribution network connects over 2.3 million Western Australians to traditional and renewable energy sources, delivering a critical service to the community.
At Western Power we’re working towards our vision for a clean energy future. We're playing a key role in transforming the electricity network to enable industry and the community to achieve their decarbonisation goals, ensuring a cleaner and more resilient energy supply for the next generation. We’re at the forefront of the energy transition, leveraging existing and new technologies including microgrid, stand-alone power systems (SPS), battery storage solutions and incorporating increased levels of renewable energy into the network.
As we move toward increasing use of renewables and the electrification of how we power our lives, changing electricity use and production patterns are driving a new way of thinking. We’re excited about the opportunities these new technologies are bringing, so we can give our customers more choice about how they access and use electricity as we move toward a decarbonised grid.
